Choosing & Protecting Passwords

Practicefirst reminds you that January 28th was Data Privacy Day, which is an international effort to promote data privacy awareness and education.
 

The National Cybersecurity and Communications Integration Center (NCCIC) encourages users and administrators to review tips for choosing and protecting your passwords. 

Some of their tips are:

 Use different passwords on different systems and accounts.
  • Don’t use passwords that are based on personal information.

  • Use the longest password or passphrase-permissible by each password system.
