Practicefirst would like to make you aware of CMS’s recent notification regarding FAQ’s for the Qualified Medicare Beneficiary Program (QMB). Some key points to remember to promote Compliance:
- All original Medicare and Medicare Advantage providers, not only those that accept Medicaid, must refrain from charging individuals enrolled in the QMB program for Medicare cost sharing for covered Part B services.
- Providers should establish processes to routinely identify the QMB status of your patients
