Practicefirst has received updated information regarding Independent Health’s Primary Value reimbursement program for primary care advances in 2019. This program began in January 2018 as an initiative to invest and partner with primary care physicians through value-based reimbursement.
Primary Value consists of two forms of reimbursement, including global per-member, per-month and fee-for-service models. The number of Independent Health members attributed to a practice determines which form of reimbursement each practice will receive.
Participating primary care practices are being notified directly about which form of Primary Value reimbursement they will receive in 2019. More information about this program is accessible by logging into the IHA provider portal and selecting “Primary Value 2019” under “Resources”.
