MultiPlan posted the following message to their website this week:
Per the Transparency in Coverage Final Rule, contract rate and provider information may be posted publicly in machine-readable files. The published information includes Tax ID (TIN) for your practice.
If you are using your Social Security Number (SSN) as the TIN for your practice, we strongly encourage you to update your provider information to replace your SSN with the TIN for your practice.
